Q: Does the OdorSweep Process use any chemicals?

A: The OdorSweep Process does not use any chemicals. The OdorSweep Process does however generate a dry vapor containing hydrogen peroxide and purified trivalent oxygen. [top]

Q: Will the OdorSweep Process bleach upholstery or harm fabrics?

Q: How large an area will the OdorSweep Process treat?

A: A treatment area can be as small as a car or as large as a 10,000 sqft. The time it takes to treat an area depends on how many BioSweep units are used and total cubic space of treatment area. The quantity of OdorSweep Processs is dependent upon several factors including indoor environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity, odor or contaminant source and severity, floor plan and cubic space. Q: Can the OdorSweep Process be operated with people or pets in the room?

A: The OdorSweep Process can only be safely operated in vacant or unoccupied spaces. The OdorSweep Process should never be operated when humans or pets are present. Operators must wear NIOSH approved half or full face piece respirators with NIOSH approved P100/Organic Vapor/Acid Gas cartridges during the OdorSweep Process.[top]

Q: Is the equipment an ozone generator?

A: The BioSweep™ produces both purified trivalent oxygen, called ozone, and hydrogen peroxide within the treatment chamber. These oxyradicals are exported to attack contaminants on exposed surfaces. The treatment unit does not use coronal discharge ozone generation which is unreliable and produces harmful and corrosive nitrogen oxides. Q: Is the OdorSweep Process an air scrubber?

A: The treatment unit operates at 250 CFM. It has an easily accessible HEPA filter (0.3 micron size), which traps any airborne contaminants that size or larger. [top]

Q: Does it take more than one Treatment?

A: One Treatment will usually remove all odors caused by organic materials. In the unlikely event that odors do linger our 100% guarantee assures our customers of the OdorSweep Process.[top]

Q: Does the OdorSweep Process come with a warranty?

A: The OdorSweep Process comes with a 10 day guarantee. Since the odor that caused the problem is organic we guarantee the original odor will be removed but other odors could be introduced after our treatment. Q: Will it remove Formaldehyde in the air?

A: Yes it will remove Formaldehyde for the air. Since Formaldehyde is a volatile organic compound the OdorSweep Process is very effective at eradicating Formaldehyde. [top]

Can you remove Curry cooking odors from a home?

A: Yes the OdorSweep treatment is the only process we are aware of that removes cooking odors from a home or restaurant. The curry oil is difficult to remove but with pre-treatment and experienced technicians we have excellent results at curry odor removal. [top]

Does the OdorSweep Process ever fail?

A: Usually when an odor returns there are factors surrounding the smell. Carpet padding, air filters and other sponge type porous material is the primary factor for odors reoccurring. Our technicians are highly trained to identify these possible odor traps so permanent odor removal will be achieved. If we are unable to remove the odor we offer a 100% guarantee.[top]

Q: Why can't we breath the OdorSweep Process vapor?

A: The OdorSweep Process produces both purified trivalent oxygen, called ozone, and hydrogen peroxide. The properties that make ozone and hydrogen peroxide powerful cleaners and disinfectants also make them dangerous to living tissues. The same chemical properties that allow high concentrations of these oxyradicals to react with organic material outside the body give them the ability to react with similar organic material that makes up the body, and potentially cause temporary harmful health consequences. When these oxyradicals come in contact with living tissues, like our lungs, they attack and damage cells lining the airways, causing swelling and inflammation, and resulting in difficult breathing. Q: We had an animal die in our home can you treat the smell?

Q: Can the OdorSweep Process treat odors in automobiles?

Q: Can the OdorSweep Process kill mold?

Q: My clothes and furniture smell after a smoke fire in my home. Can the OdorSweep process remove the smells from my clothes and furniture?

A: The OdorSweep process is perfect for content restoration. If your clothes or cloth furniture have lingering odors we can remove them usually in one treatment. Smoke odor removal is our specialty.[top]

Q: Does the OdorSweep Process remove fuel spill odors?

A: The OdorSweep process is very effective at removing toxic fumes associated with gasoline and diesel fuel spills. The organic compounds in fuel oils are broken down to non volitile compounds during the OdorSweep process. Any porous materials (ie concrete) will have to be treated with an enzyme to expedite the OdorSweep process breakdown.[top]
